Position Title: International Distribution Warehouse Associate

Summary:
Performs diversified duties in Distribution/Traffic function with a focus on International Distribution. This includes regulatory reviews, document preparation, coordination of shipment with forwarders, and regular communication with 3PL vendors. Audits 3PL performance for compliance to 404 and operational standards. May be called on during off-hours to facilitate urgent distribution requirements.

Principal Duties:
Oversees distribution operations acting in a first line of response capacity for these facilities.
Pick, Pack and Ship expedite materials from Billerica MFG facility in an efficient and cost effective manner.
Prepares any document necessary for shipment to an international customer, including Shippers Letter of Instruction, Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice and any other required documents.
Coordinates local transportation requirements with contract carriers interplant and to/from the airports.
Directs shipping departments and freight vendors on proper packing, marking, labeling, documentation, etc… for regulatory compliance.
Perform drop-shipment transactions from suppliers to subsidiaries/customers.
Regularly report to management and other appropriate groups on the status of open actions.
Recognizes, investigates and resolves distribution related issues.

Complexity:
Individual must possess ability to work carefully and accurately, paying close attention to details. Excellent organization skills are a must.
Independently seeks solutions to a variety of situations and issues, escalates issues when necessary.
Required ability to plan, organize and coordinate diverse activities under stressful conditions.

Experience:
5 years work experience in a warehouse environment including at least 3 in traffic or international logistics related field or a BS with 2 years work experience in traffic related position.
Demonstrated familiarity with export and import regulations.
Demonstrated expertise in international packing standards and inventory control practices.
Able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Familiarity with AES export filing process a plus.
Experience with 3PL operations a plus.
