Position Title: Engineering Lab Supervisor

Position Summary
This individual will be responsible for all engineering laboratory activities related to performing test and validation for products and projects in the engineering organization. Will coordinate lab activities and supervise technicians as required.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide laboratory support required for development and sustaining of Mykrolis products.
Design experiments using proper instrumentation to conduct tests and capture accurate test data.
Identify and procure test equipment and lab tools to effectively support the engineering testing requirements.
Establish necessary procedures and guidelines to facilitate usage of the engineering lab by various development teams.
Identify resource requirements and hire/supervise technicians.
Participate in transitioning products from Engineering to Manufacturing.
Actively participate in design and development of equipment and fixtures used for engineering and production tests.
Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers as required.
Skills
Thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
Hands-on experience with good mechanical aptitude.
Organized and capable of supervising other technicians
Able to work with various laboratory tools and instruments.
Ability to work with Microsoft Office programs.
Team player with good communication skills.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of technician level experience in product development environment with minimum two years of supervisory experience.
Education
Minimum of 4 year degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent years of experience.
