Essential Job Duties:
Establish Finished Good inventory stocking plans for all sites, integrating local insight and historical usage. Interact with Distribution, Demand, and Finance management to determine optimal inventory levels to balance high levels of customer satisfaction and cost to the company. Examine and minimize risk of supporting inventory in regional/local distribution points.
Develop Logistics Site Inventory Turns goals to support Corporate turns goals. Forecast and track performance to turns goals for all Logistics Sites.
Interface with Consignment Managers globally to optimize customer-specific inventories.
Manage Global Inventory Relocation program: avoid unnecessary builds through the identification and facilitation of opportunities for better utilization of inventory amongst subsidiaries. Perform associated transactions to ensure timely closure of GIRs.
Maintain Global Logistics Inventory Management policies and procedures including Physical Inventory management, inventory turns requirements, inventory metrics and performance goals.
Coordinate Physical and Cycle Counting to satisfy Sarbanes Oxley control requirements.
Establish tools to bring visibility to global logistics inventory to the organization including mechanisms for pinpointing areas of concern by location and item. Maintain monthly global inventory reports highlighting significant changes in site and item inventory status, seek clarification and justification from local managers. SAP Inventory Expert. Evaluate advanced capabilities, lead implementation of beneficial Inventory capabilities. Continuous improvement leadership.

Education/Experience:
Five or more years of inventory management experience within a highly cyclical, variable demand base such as Semiconductor manufacturers or suppliers. Demonstrated capability in inventory reduction while increasing customer satisfaction levels.
Exceptional analytical skills are critical.
A high level of skill in the use of ERP applications (SAP preferred), objects-based reporting tools, and Microsoft Access databases.
Skill in the transactional mechanics of inventory management and planning are highly beneficial.
An ability to effectively communicate with Planning, Materials Management, Sales, and Global Logistics Managers in order to gain access to key business information necessary for development of appropriate stocking plans.
Understanding of financial impacts of inventory transactions and stocking plans is needed.
Commitment to continuous improvement, comfortable in evolving work environment.
Undergraduate degree is desired.
